    Who Rahu is

Rahu is the shadow, the trickster, the uninvited guest who creates chaos and teaches something deeper in return. He is not a physical planet, but his influence is deeply psychological.

Rahu expands what he touches, sometimes past its limits. He creates confusion, obsession and urgency, and he is also the planet of innovation, rebellion and sudden success. In the foreign reading, Rahu is the classic window: the option abroad becomes real.

Karaka of obsession, foreign things, technology, sudden rise and the unconventional.

    Strength and dignity

Rahu and Ketu have no peak-strength or own-sign placements in BNN. They are read by the house they occupy and the planets they sit with, never by sign dignity. Both are also always retrograde, which is why counting that as a separate condition adds phantom weight to every chart.

    Common questions

Does Rahu have an exaltation sign?

Not in BNN. Rahu and Ketu carry no peak-strength or own-sign placement. They are read by house and by the planets they sit with.

Are Rahu and Ketu always retrograde?

Yes, always. That is why BNN does not count their retrograde motion as a separate condition: doing so adds severity to every chart that is not really there.
