BNN Astro Vastu divides the property into 16 directional zones of 22.5° and measures them against the actual geometry of the floor plan.
How is this calculated?
Modern Vastu practice divides a home into 16 zones of 22.5° each, measured from the centre of its main body; the classical eight directions and the pada mandala are drawn too. BNN Astro Vastu draws them on your own plan at their exact degrees, so an east-facing or north-facing home is read as it truly stands.
Most Vastu software draws a bar for the floor area of each of the 16 zones and a balance line through the middle. On any rectangle the corner zones are simply bigger, so even a perfect square plot comes out with North-East, South-East, South-West and North-West "in excess" and North, East, South and West "weak".

In Astro Vastu each direction, the three walls and the centre carry one house of your birth chart. A cut or a toilet in a zone tends to show in that part of life, and the planets sitting in that house show whose energy it is.

Vastu cuts and extensions, by direction
A cut is any part of the main body the outline misses, most often a corner; an extension pushes out beyond it. In traditional Vastu a North-East cut and a South-West extension are the most serious faults, while a North-East extension is welcomed. BNN Astro Vastu measures both in grid squares, or in square feet once the plot size is set, and in Astro Vastu shows which house of your kundli the corner carries.

What is BNN Astro Vastu?
BNN Astro Vastu is Dr Mandeep Saini's online Vastu floor-plan check. It reads a home with traditional Vastu from the plan alone, and, when a kundli is added, with Bhrigu Nandi Nadi (BNN) astrology: each house of the chart is laid on its own direction of the home.
Can I use it for Vastu only, without a kundli?
Yes. Without a chart it is a traditional Vastu check: the 16 zones, cuts and extensions, the main entrance pada, the Shakti Chakra, and in Advanced the 45 devtas and the 81-pada mandala. Adding a kundli turns on the Astro Vastu layer.
What is Astro Vastu?
Astro Vastu reads a home through the birth chart of the person it is drawn for, usually the head of the household. In Dr Saini's BNN method the eight directions, the East, South and West walls and the Brahmasthan at the centre each carry one of the twelve houses, so a cut, extension or misplaced room in a zone points to that area of life, and the planets in that house show which planet, and the relative it signifies, is involved.
How do I check the Vastu of my home from a floor plan?
Take a photo of the paper plan or upload the plan image, drag the four corners onto the main body of the plot and turn North to match the plan. The 16 zones, cuts and extensions, and your chart's houses and planets are then drawn on your own plan.
What is the true-strength graph?
Most Vastu software compares the raw floor area of the 16 zones. On any rectangle the corner zones are bigger, so even a perfect square shows its corners in excess and North, East, South and West as weak. The true-strength graph compares each zone with what a perfect plot of the same main body holds, so only real extensions and cuts move a bar.
Does it work for flats and irregular plots?
Yes. The outline can take any shape; every side can be pushed out or pulled in, and extensions and cuts are measured in grid squares, or in square feet and metres once the plot size is set. Each floor of a house can be drawn separately.
Can I use it on my phone and in Hindi or my own language?
Yes. It runs in the phone browser, the camera can photograph a paper plan, and the whole interface and the saved reading can be switched to Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam or Nepali.
Is my floor plan uploaded anywhere?
No. The plan picture stays in your own browser and is made small automatically; it is not sent to a server.
Can I upload a PDF plan, and where are my plans saved?
Upload a photo or a picture of the plan (a screenshot of a PDF works). Your plans are saved to your account, so they open on your phone and your computer once you sign in. Picture files stay on your device.
Does it suggest gemstones?
No. Suggestions are simple and practical: the colours and objects of each zone's planet. Gemstones are never recommended.
